Dario Mariuzzi graduated with a National Diploma in Architectural Technology from then TWR (UJ) in 1998. He dived into full time employment and using Autodesk software. He commenced with AutoCAD at a small practice in 1999 and transitioned to Revit in 2005, focusing on Upmarket Residential and Retail Sectors. Dario joined Modena Design Centres in 2011 as an Autodesk Applications Engineer specialising in Revit.

He attained Professional Certification for both Revit and AutoCAD, and ACI Status, in 2014, ACI Silver Status in 2019 and ACI Gold Status in 2022. As an Autodesk AE (Applications Engineer) with a focus on training and support, coupled with an incredible passion for complex modelling and an enthusiasm to solve those “Revit can’t do…” questions, as well as a fervour to simplify and optimise, his role evolved into that of a BIM Consultant. He has assisted several prominent South African architectural firms with BIM protocol development, ‘real world’ procedural implementation and validation, including customised BIM training. To maintain competitive advantage in this ever-changing field, Dario expanded his expertise to include a significantly wider gamut of the Autodesk product range. He displays a keen interest in utilising disruptive technology to achieve both his own goals and those of his clients efficiently and enable their ability to leverage software to its full potential.

A devoted husband and father, Dario revels in his Italian roots. Diligent, loyal team leader, Dario has a knapsack of great advice, extensive knowledge of ‘cool’ tech stuff, and cache of Star Wars intelligence.
