Modena have a solution… By creating a Matterport 3D tour of your property, the scan data can be exported into a format which enables an architect or draftsperson to easily create plans for you and we have identified specialists who can assist with the actual submissions to council, negotiating reduced rates where possible.

How to get started:

  • Visit our directory of Matterport scanning providers to arrange a scan of your property & request a MatterPak data file & URL link as part of the service
  • Connect with an Architect such as A4 Architects who work with MatterPak data files. This reduces the drawing time and allows more competitive rates
  • A4 Architects will connect you with a council consultant to help you submit your plans if you are based in Gauteng, Bloemfontein or Cape Town. We are looking out for more.

  • A Pro3 camera is recommended for scanning outside, but some experienced technicians are able to scan outside with a Pro2 in the right light conditions. Please confirm with the service provider prior to booking

With a MatterPak data file export file from the scan, architects can create house plans that meet the requirements of your local city council. Using this technology reduces the timeline and makes the costing more competitive.

  • Plans supplied within 2 weeks from MatterPak, considering all the property data & scan provided is complete
