Revit STRUCTURES Core Competency Program – RSCCP

Game Changing Training for Structures

Modena Design Centres have developed a series of workshops to assist Revit users to upskill to Revit expert status.

“Everyone loves what they are good at”
The RSCCP is tailored for structural engineers using Revit for design, documentation, and analysis. This program covers modelling techniques for beams, columns, reinforcement, and multi-disciplinary collaboration.

The workshops are offered at one of our training centres on Friday afternoons for 17 weeks or alternatively on-site (please enquire for on-site pricing). Students receive workshop notes as well as exercises for each workshop, and may choose which workshops they would like to attend.

Developed by industry professionals for the Structural, Architectural, Interior, and MEP sectors, the CCP is a specialised training programme designed to help South African professionals enhance their Revit skills. Each workshop focuses on a key competency, ensuring more efficient workflows and high-quality designs.
  2. What are the benefits of attending CCP workshops?
Participants gain practical experience in advanced Revit workflows, improving project efficiency, collaboration, and overall design quality.
Eligibility & Prerequisites
  1. Who should attend CCP workshops?
The programme is tailored for intermediate to advanced Revit users, particularly professionals looking to refine their workflows and improve project efficiency.
  2. What are the prerequisites for attending?
Participants should have completed a Revit Fundamentals course or have equivalent experience. A basic understanding of Revit, including creating and modifying standard elements, is required.
Workshop Structure & Content
  1. How long is each workshop, and where do they take place? Each workshop runs for two hours. Training can be arranged as full-day or half-day sessions at your premises, on an agreed date with your Modena account executive. Training options:
    • Public Training: Fridays, 10:00 – 12:00 (Johannesburg Training Centre)
    • Half-Day Weekly Sessions: On-site at client premises (includes hands-on/project-based support)
    • Full-Day Weekly Sessions: On-site at client premises (includes hands-on/project-based support, troubleshooting, and template creation)
    • Post-workshop support is available if needed.
    • Included in a Full-Day Revit Core Competency Programme (CCP) Training Designed to maximize efficiency, improve workflows, and provide hands-on, expert-led training tailored to your team’s needs. Structure of the Full-Day CCP Training:
      1. Morning Workshop (2 Hours) o A focused, in-depth training session on a specific Revit competency (e.g., Family Creation, Worksets & Collaboration, Advanced Modelling, etc.). o Hands-on learning with real-world examples. o Training notes and assignments provided.
      2. Practical Application (Self-Guided Task Completion) o After the workshop, participants receive a set of tasks to apply their newly acquired skills. o Tasks are designed to reinforce learning and encourage problem-solving.
      3. Afternoon: On-Site Project-Based Support & Template Development The Application Engineer stays at your office for the rest of the day to: o Provide one-on-one assistance to participants. o Help integrate new skills into live projects your team is working on. o Assist with template creation, workflow optimization, and troubleshooting.
