What You Need to Know.
Chaos, our trusted technology partner behind industry-leading tools like Enscape, V-Ray, and Corona, is rolling out important changes to its product offerings and pricing structure. These updates affect how new licences are purchased and how existing subscriptions will renew from 1 July 2025. It’s important that you’re aware of what’s changing, how it may affect your current licences, and the options available to you. Taking a few minutes to review this information now will help you plan ahead, avoid unexpected costs, and ensure you continue to get the most value from your Chaos tools.
Tip: Because renewals can be processed up to 90 days ahead, you can lock in today’s pricing even if your subscription doesn’t expire until mid-year.
What’s a named license?
Unlike a fixed license that ties software to one machine, a named license is bound to a person. That user can install and activate on any device—perfect for remote work, hot-desking, or multi-machine workflows.
Key benefits:
Date        Event
Now        Evaluate your team’s usage: fixed vs. floating vs. named.
10 Apr 2025Â Deadline to avoid exchange-rate price increase.
1 May 2025Â Â Deadline to avoid VAT adjustment.
6 May 2025Â Â Last day to sidestep M2S price adjustment.
1 July 2025Â Â All fixed-license renewals convert to named licenses.
Action Steps:
You’ll renew at the new list rates. Licensing will still convert, but pricing won’t be grandfathered.
