Quality Guidance

Meet some of the previous trainers

BIM4Uni trainers are selected from a team of specialists at Modena. Each having both industry knowledge, and the prestigious Autodesk Certified Trainer accreditation.

With a diverse skill set ranging from reality capture in the AEC industry to brand management and entrepreneurship, I am bringing a unique combination of technical expertise, creative thinking, and business acumen.

Hloni Mavuso

Reality Capture Specialist (As-Built)

Modena AEC

Known for his warm smile and sense of style, Hloni Mavuso is a highly regarded member of the Modena team. Originally studying architecture, he transitioned into the role of Reality Capture Specialist, gaining extensive hands-on experience in as-built documentation and the use of advanced technology to accurately digitise and record existing structures.

As part of Modena’s Reality Capture team, Hloni has developed practical skills that complement his academic background, giving him a grounded understanding of real-world conditions and digital workflows. He has also shadowed a BIM Coordinator, building a strong foundation in model management, clash detection, and multidisciplinary coordination – making him a valuable asset within collaborative design and construction environments.

Beyond the technical realm, Hloni is certified in brand management and has successfully managed his own clothing brand, demonstrating entrepreneurial drive and a creative approach to storytelling, identity and design.

Kobe Bryant once said, “Rest at the end, not in the middle,” this is a reminder to keep moving forward and not give up, even when faced with challenges

Lyle Sangion

Design Technology Specialist (BIM Coord)

Modena AEC

Architectural modeler, BIM coordinator, and aspiring architect with over 5 years of experience in the architectural industry. Armed with a laptop, a tape measure, and a sense of humor sharper than Kevin Hart’s punchlines, Lyle combines creativity and curiosity to deliver exceptional designs. Beyond 3D modeling, he specializes in helping architectural practices transition into digital workflows, ensuring they embrace modern tools and methodologies. His passion for software learning is as boundless as his love for Krispy Kreme donuts and parametric design.

When he’s not turning blueprints into reality, Lyle’s motivational speeches can energize a sloth into a sprinter, and his doodles rival Picasso’s (at least in his own mind). A natural people-person, he thrives on meaningful conversations, good food, and great music. Lyle holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Johannesburg and brings valuable experience from the built environment industry—all while keeping things light and professional.

As Vincent van Gogh once said, “I am always doing what I cannot do yet, in order to learn how to do it.”

Nikayle Govender

Construction Technology Specialist

Modena AEC

With over six years of experience in the architectural field and the broader built environment, Nikayle Govender is a dedicated BIM Construction Technology Specialist who brings both technical insight and creative energy to her work. Described by her colleagues as beautiful, brave, and adventurous, Nikayle embraces new challenges with enthusiasm and remains committed to evolving alongside the rapidly shifting world of digital design. She believes deeply in the synergy between advanced technology and human imagination – where innovation thrives and remarkable possibilities emerge.

Outside the office, she devours fiction books, enjoys a good movie, and proudly admits that cooking isn’t high on her list of passions. A devoted animal lover, her beloved pavement special Riley, holds a special place in her heart. Nikayle’s approach to continuous growth drives her ongoing pursuit of learning, innovation, and excellence in the industry.
