A new chapter in leadership

At Modena AEC & Infrastructure, we believe in growth – of people, potential, and possibility, and much like our ever-shifting construction landscape, within these walls we too experience change, and with it, opportunity.

A fresh chapter in our leadership

We bid a heartfelt farewell to our technical manager and opened the doors to an exciting new chapter in our technical leadership.

After years of dedication, vision, and mentorship, Machiel Odendaal steps away from his role as Technical Manager. Machiel has been far more than a title – known affectionately as our in-house BIM and Revit guru, Machiel brought deep architectural insight, a passion for design automation, and a rare blend of technical rigour with a sharp sense of wit. His leadership has shaped not only how we work but how we grow, he leaves an indelible mark on our team. We extend our deepest thanks to Machiel for the lasting impact he’s made, and we look forward to what his next chapter holds.

As one era closes, another begins – and we are delighted to welcome Thabelo Netshivhungululu as our new Technical Manager. With over 15 years in the AEC industry and a decade leading BIM strategy and implementation, Thabelo brings both experience and energy to the role. He has quietly and confidently carved a place for himself within Modena – earning admiration not just for his extensive technical expertise and presenting flair, but for his gentle, thoughtful leadership. Thabelo leads with purpose, combining precision and innovation to deliver results that matter. His approach aligns seamlessly with Modena’s values and is the perfect fit to lead us forward.

Please join us in bidding a fond farewell to Machiel and a warm congratulations to Thabelo. The future of digital transformation in the built environment is in excellent hands.

Change brings the chance to grow, to lead with purpose, and to shape what comes next – together.”
– Machiel Odendaal
